History Matters - The Lewis Log Cabin, The Pierson Train Depot & The Midway Methodist Church

Hello from the Midway Methodist Church. Discover it's history, how it got it's name, how it came to be a part of the Settlement’s village and a bit of the history of the circuit riders. Discover the history behind the Pierson Train Station, the Caboose and take a virtual ride along on our model train. Join us for a tour of the Lewis Log Cabin. UPDATED April 17, 2020 - In accordance with the mandatory Safer-at-Home ordinance from Florida Governor Ron Desantis we will remain closed through April 30th, 2020 “Put first things first and we get second things thrown in: put second things first & we lose both first and second things.” C. S. Lewis The first thing is the health and welfare of our staff, volunteers and visitors. Due to this public health crisis we closed to the public on March 18, 2020 at 4 pm. While closed we continue to have volunteers working on the grounds for clerical operations, security and to work on special projects.
